A curious builder asked me,

"DeFi Bots are taking over.

Does this mean Dexes will go extinct?"

The answer is no.

  1. DeFi Bots are liquidity aggregators; they look for the most liquid dexes to snipe from, so they rely on liquidity from Dexes for trades.

  2. They enhance trades, create market and price balance, while improving efficiency with fewer MEV snipes.

  3. They create discipline among dexes, promote competition, removing monopoly and creating a fair market.

  4. Dexes still profit from the increased volumes generated by bots, increased trader interest in DeFi due to the fast and smooth transactions.
