Twitter expects approval from regulators to implement payments, including cryptocurrency payments, in the foreseeable future. This is reported by the Financial Times.

According to the newspaper, the social platform has applied for a license and is developing the relevant software. The initiative is being implemented by the company as part of Ilon Musk’s plan to turn Twitter into a “super app.”

Initially, the payment option will focus on fiat currencies, but it will include the possibility of integrating digital assets.

I guess it is inevitable that twitter launches it’s own token/system of crypto payments, but i guess it won’t be on an existing blockchains

Also think so, and for creating their own they will need some more time, I guess, because they still have some inner transformations after Musk bought it.
