The sui airdrop option is the community access program which is being done using the Centralized exchanges.
Alot of decentralized folks do not like the idea, some said no airdrop no community.

An airdrop is a way of onboarding new members onto a community, but then if you can’t put your money in a project, it shows that you’re not confident in what they’re building.
In their own case, they want to know their real members I guess
