Steps to Trust Level 3

Trust Level 3 (Regular) is an important milestone in the community that recognizes dedicated and active contributors who have been consistently engaged for a significant period. To achieve Trust Level 3, users must meet the following requirements within the last 100 days:

  1. Visit: Users must have visited the community on at least 50% of the days during the specified timeframe.

  2. Replies: Users must have participated in at least 10 different non-private message topics by providing replies.

  3. Topic Views: Users must have viewed a minimum of 25% of the topics created in the last 100 days, with a maximum cap of 500.

  4. Post Reads: Users must have read at least 25% of the posts created in the last 100 days, with a maximum cap of 20,000.

  5. Likes Received and Given: Users must have received a minimum of 20 likes on their posts and given at least 30 likes to other users’ posts. These likes must come from a minimum number of different users (1/5 the total number) and be distributed across a minimum number of different days (1/4 the total number). Likes received from private messages (PMs) are not considered.

  6. Flagging: Users must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags on their posts, which have been confirmed by a moderator as legitimate.

  7. Behavior: Users must not have been suspended or silenced in the last 6 months.

Upon achieving Trust Level 3, users gain the following privileges within the community:

  1. Recategorize and Rename Topics: Users can assist in organizing and maintaining the community by modifying the categories and titles of topics.

  2. Access to Secure Category: Users can access a dedicated category that is visible only to users at Trust Level 3 and higher.

  3. Followed Links: Links shared by users will have the “nofollow” attribute removed, allowing search engines to follow those links.

  4. Immediate Hiding of TL0 User Posts: Trust Level 3 users can flag posts by Trust Level 0 (new) users as spam, resulting in the immediate hiding of those posts.

  5. Auto-Silencing of TL0 Users: If Trust Level 3 users collectively flag posts by a Trust Level 0 user with diverse reasons, the TL0 user will be automatically silenced, and all their posts will be hidden.

  6. Make Posts Wiki: Users can convert their posts into “wiki” format, allowing editing by users at Trust Level 1 and above.

  7. Increased Daily Limits: Trust Level 3 users enjoy doubled daily limits for liking, editing, and flagging activities.

It is important to note that if a user no longer meets the Trust Level 3 requirements within the last 100 days, they may be demoted back to Member status. However, there is a 2-week grace period immediately after achieving Trust Level 3, during which the user will not be demoted. This prevents frequent promotion and demotion scenarios.

Please keep in mind that the specific thresholds and settings for Trust Level 3 can be customized by administrators in the community’s site settings to align with the community’s specific needs.
