The Starknet Foundation recently introduced the Early Community Member Program, aiming to distribute 50 million future $STRK tokens to early contributors in the ecosystem. This initiative recognizes and rewards individuals and projects that actively participate in technical discussions, organize Starknet-related events, and create content related to Starknet.
While there are 10 billion Starknet tokens in existence, they won’t be accessible to token holders until April 15, 2024.
The majority of these tokens were initially reserved for the Starknet Foundation, with 32.9% going to core contributors and 17% to investors. The ECMP program is part of the strategy to allocate tokens initially set aside for the foundation, and it’s important to note that this distribution is not considered an airdrop.
