Pontem Wallet issues, even after update and refresh

Every time I try to use Pontem it says “Current Network is Not Responding” then says “Check Availability” or “Choose Another Network.” Ultimately, just checking “Check Availability” will stall for a few seconds and then the wallet works fine. I have updated the app, closed the browser and cleared cache. Nothing works. Is this a general problem? The wallet still works, but it takes about 4x as long to coplete a transaction. Is there a solution?
