You must search for the weapon first and then start fighting.

When the game starts, search for a black box with a circle surrounding it. Enter the circle and wait for the weapon to charge.
The box appears and disappears to appear somewhere else

Just tried playing it, takes a few goes to get good!
When you spawn, don’t spawn too close to other players, they will have weapons already probably.
To get a weapon, follow ssimonhira’s advice.
Don’t forget all the controls! especially leaping forward with spacebar.
