In 2006, Yahoo tried to acquire Facebook for $1.1B, and the deal was almost done, but Yahoo’s CEO changed his offer to $800M, and the deal didn’t happen.
In 2008, Microsoft offered $44.6B to acquire Yahoo, but its CEO denied it.
Finally, in 2017, Yahoo was sold to Verizon for just $𝟓𝐁.
