Projects taking the KYC route for presale these days than regular airdrop, what is your take?

I think so, it would gain ground if sui becomes successfully. Just look at shardeum. they adopted it too

Maybe they don’t just want anybody get in. This KYC method will also limit who gets the presale and I think that helps

yes i observed that as well…i think they are trying to curb sybil but dont you think real supporters and contributors to the project will be affected?

yes it is not fair to the community who genuinely interact with the project as only some will be picked at random

In the case of curbing sybil they are defeating the aim of web3, decentralization cant be achived through that. Why not find a better way to detect sybillors. Seeing what sui did, early contributors and supporters were definetly affected.

Kyc can really help it’ll curb a lot but my opinion is that’s not what decentralization is all about

I don’t like it tbh. Web3 is supposed to be decentralized. However, if it makes me money, who am I to complain? I have nothing to hide
