How to Swap and add Liquidity on Cetus which on Aptos Mainnet

In this article, we will take a closer look on how to do swap and provide liquidity on Cetus on Aptos mainnet which launched on 12 October 2022 and bringing a fresh atmosphere in this boring bear market.

But lets first see what is meant by swapping tokens and what is liquidity pools in which we are putting our tokens.

SWAP: Lets say you have Token A in your wallet and you want to exchange them to Token B. So you need an exchange to do the needful. Cetus provides you with this option. We will see later on how to achieve this. Trading one asset to proportional amount of another asset on a dex (Decentralized Exchanage).

Swapper: User who place and execute swap orders on a dex.

Liquidity: Tokens that are stored in a pool contract and are able to be traded against by traders.

LIQUIDITY PROVIDER: A liquidity provider, also known as a market maker, is someone who provides their crypto assets to a platform to help with decentralization of trading. In return they are rewarded with fees generated by trades on that platform, which can be thought of as a form of passive income. For example, APT-ZUSDC is a liquidity pool that contains the liquidity provided for the token pair APT and ZUSDC.

HOW TO SWAP TOKENS ON CETUS

Open [https://www.cetus.zone/ (official](Cetus Protocol website).

2.Click on access app in the webpage.

  1. Connect your Aptos wallet (Petra, Martain, Fewcha, Pontem, Spika)and top up with $APT from exchanges like binance, ftx, kucoin, mexc etc. I will be using Martian wallet for tutorial. 4. Go to swap tab and choose from the list of tokens you want to swap your $Apt tokens into. Ex: Apt to zUsdc.

And out the amount you want to swap

  1. Click on confirm. And approve the transaction into your wallet. And hurrah your swap is complete. You can see the amount of zusdc in your wallet.

HOW TO PROVIDE LIQUIDITY ON CETUS 1.Click on POOLS tab. 2. Choose the pool in which you want to add liquidity and click on it. Ex: Apt/zUsdc. 3. Put in amount you want to add into pool. And click on Add to pool.

  1. Now confirm the transaction in wallet. And bingo you have added liquidity in this pool.

You can check your lp shares on the bottom of screen.

  1. Similarly you can remove Liquidity from pool in percentage as well all of it using the slider or manually as you deem comfortable.

I hope after going through this artcile it would be easy for everyone to use

CetusProtocol

NOTE: Have some $APT for gas fees.
