Aptos is an exceptionally fast and scalable smart contract platform, with a throughput of over 100,000 transactions per second. It uses the Move language, originally developed for Meta’s Diem project, and counts Diem executives among its founders.
Aptos is similar to other ultra-high TPS L1 blockchains such as Sui in that they both seek to find scalability solutions on their base layer chains. The differences lie in their vision and approach to scalability enhancement, such as consensus algorithms and architecture design.
