Hi all,
Just by way of background, I’m a technology lawyer with over 25 years’ experience and have been working in the Web3 space since 2017. I’m also a member of LexDAO and LexPunks and a strong believer in supporting developers coming into this space - making sure they have solid legal foundations for their project and prepared for the ever-changing regulatory environment. Many teams find themselves having to deal with lawyers and complex legal issues for the first time. It can be daunting so I’m hoping to make legal topics more accessible.
With the amount of building that has started in this ecosystem, I thought it might be beneficial to have a intro to legal issues aimed at Web3 devs and start-ups. It’s free to all community members but is aimed at developers and teams who are just starting out.
I’ll be doing the presentation early next year if there’s interest. First task is to ask the dev community what topics you want to hear more about? The below poll has 3 themes that I know will be of interest:
- VASP Guidance by the FATF
- Legal basics for Start-Ups
- Intellectual Property 101
0 voters
My Legal Basics presentation has been extremely popular as it covers a lot of issues that start-ups have to deal with but the other topics are important areas for consideration as well.
I’ll leave the poll open for a week or two and come back with a date once the poll indicates which theme the community wants to hear more about.
