- Technical features of the blockchain
Aptos is a first-level blockchain that claims to focus on scalability and security. Developers use their programming language Move. Here are some of its benefits:

A simple property setting for assets that allows assets to be passed through smart contracts as arguments and returned as functions. Solidity is less dynamic as it stores assets in hashmaps that are permanently locked into the contract;

Referential transparency for immutable references. Solidity has no built-in access control and is immutable, which makes it relatively difficult to fix bugs and vulnerabilities once smart contracts are deployed;

Memory safety by preventing dead links and memory leaks. Move also offers a formal “Move Prover” tool that allows developers to quickly check and verify that their code is running as intended;

Safe storage of important information (tokens, smart contracts) using the native data type “resources”. Resources have a high status in the Move code architecture, which prevents them from being copied or accidentally destroyed.
- Funds and investments in Aptos
All the famous guys are here. These are Binance Labs, and FTX Ventures, and Coinbase, and a16z, and many other major players.
There have been two funding rounds in total. In the first Aptos Foundation received $200M from Binance Labs, a16z, Multicoin Capital, Katie Haun, 3 Arrows Capital, Hashed, Variant, Tiger Global, BlockTower, FTX Ventures, Paxos, Coinbase Ventures. The second has another $150 million from FTX Ventures, Jump Crypto, a16z crypto, Multicoin Capital and Circle Ventures.
On the one hand, the presence of such large funds, and even in such a quantity, is a good sign. Based on such a large investment, we can confidently say that the funds have done an incredible job of researching the idea, the team, the prospects and the chances of multiplying the invested funds. On the other hand, it’s disturbing. Given such a large number of tokens held by such funds, the possibility of price manipulation creeps in. To dig deeper and understand how easy such manipulations will be given to them, let’s study the tokenomics of the project and determine what share of the total emission funds will own.
