What is BRC-20?
Aren’t we all familiar with the ERC-20 tokens developed on the Ethereum network’s core? Well, BRC-20 is an experimental token standard that takes inspiration from the very ERC-20 tokens of the Ethereum ecosystem.
When the very first BRC-20 token contract was deployed for the “ordi” token, it came with a hard cap of 1,000 tokens per mint and a total maximum supply of 21 million tokens. Since then, the market capitalization of BRC-20 tokens has skyrocketed over the last month.
there an airdrop possibility in BRC-20?
Yes, there is still a lot of room for growth since the BRC-20 hype is just getting started and it has a smaller market cap than the ERC-20 market cap. Recently, @LeonidasNFT building @ord_io posted this on his twitter handle
create a wallet to begin our journey on BRC-20.
To create a wallet, just navigate to ordinalswallet.com and click that button
Give your wallet a password, keep your seed phrase safe, and get through the verification process, and your wallet will be created.
Once you have your wallet, copy the address and send some bitcoin from any CEX. For this example, I’m sending $BTC from Binance. make a deposit.
Remember that this is a new technology and that almost all of the available tokens are meme coins. before purchasing or minting BRC-20 tokens I advise you look carefully and risk what you are willing to use, just incase.
In your Ordinals wallet, select the “BRC-20” tab. Scroll down until you see a green bar below the total supply. This indicates that the token has not yet been fully minted and that you can still mint more. While minting you just need to pay the gas fee.
Click on “Mint Now,” set the network fee, and then on “Inscribe.” Other than the transaction fee, minting additional tokens won’t cost you any money.
@unisat_Wallet is another wallet that is comparable to @ordinalswallet. Additionally, you can create a wallet there and use its features. Visit this link to create a wallet: unisat.io, They might give you an airdrop just like @ordinalswallet did.
