Cetus Protocol Tutorial Web3

is a pioneer DEX and concentrated liquidity protocol focusing on Move-based ecosystems like Aptos and Sui. It’ll work as a crucial part of the ecosystem infrastructure to satisfy the comprehensive needs of traders, LPs, upper applications and an increasing DeFi population.

Cetus’s core offering is about concentrated liquidity, which allows users to add their liquidity in a special price range.

Capital efficiency is the first thing that Cetus can redefine for the Aptos ecosystem, which is supported by its concentrated liquidity algorithm. Both liquidity providers and traders can benefit from this. By concentrating liquidity on the active price range, LPs can earn transaction fees more efficiently. Traders can enjoy trading low slippage around the spot price during their swaps. In addition, developers can easily build their own products and tip to Cetus’ most efficient liquidity sources by integrating with openly accessible smart contracts and SDKs. Cetus was originally built on Aptos and will expand into other Move-based blockchain networks.

Сetus gives us the efficiency of capital, in such situation, everyone is in the game, both liquidity providers and traders. We ordinary people have little interest in the conditions for liquidity providers, but with Cetus traders can enjoy trading with minimum slippage at the spot price and that is really good.

Aptos new layer1 blockchain with higher scale, speed and and robustness and Sui is blockchain which provides high settlement speed and high throughput which creates huge opportunities for all projects that have latency issues.

Recently the Cetus Protocol added the ability to use the Wormhole Bridge, which is a very nice and necessary option. So today i want to tell you and show you how to use Cetus Bridge powered by Wormhole and add liquidity in Cetus pools. You will see that there are no difficulties, everything is quite easy and fast! so let’s go!

So let’s start from the Wormhole Bridge and what it is. Check it out.

2. What is Wormhole Bridge?

Wormhole is a decentralized data transfer protocol that connects to multiple blockchains. Wormhole allows blockchains (such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Terra, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, Aptos, Oasis etc.) to interact with each other. It solves two main problems that blockchains face today:

· Tokens are difficult to move between blockchains without relying on centralized exchanges to connect and exchange tokens. However, this means that users are exposed to counterparty risk.

· Decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts on different blockchains cannot communicate with each other, making it difficult to achieve cross-chain interoperability.

3. How to use Cetus Bridge powered by Wormhole?

Go to the official site of Cetus protocol: https://www.cetus.zone/

Find the button “Access app” and go to the application page, at the top you can see the swap, pool and bridge buttons, go to the bridge

I chose swap from the Binance Smart Chain to Aptos networks, you can connect your metamask or another wallet on the Binance Smart Chain network . You can choose quite a lot of networks (Aptos, Akala, Algorand, Aurora, Avalanche, Binance, Celo, Ethereum, Phantom, Karura, Klaytn, Moonbeam, Nir, Oasis, Polygon, Solana, Terra, Terra Classic, XPLA). This allows you to use Cetus with almost all popular networks.

Select Token, enter the required number of tokens and press next, next you will see the following window. Then connect Aptos Wallet (I used Petra Wallet).

And put next and we transfer our tokens.

Review and click confirm.

Confirm the transfer in the wallet and wait for the confirmation.

4. Swap on Cetus

Enter https://app.cetus.zone/and connect your Wallet. they support many wallets, such as Martian, Petra, Pontem, Fewcha and Spika, however, I used Petra Wallet as an example to show.

Choose your target asset and enter the amount.

Set your Slippage tolerance for this trade. In this example, we will use 1% slippage tolerance.

After everything is set up, confirm swap to proceed this transaction and you will receive your target asset in a few seconds.

5. Add Liquidity on Cetus

Check out all the listed trading pools on Cetus and choose the ce-assets pools that you want to provide liquidity. There are more pools to be shown on our dapp.

Enter the amount of assets on any side of target liquidity pool. Then review confirm supply to proceed.

6. Review Liquidity from Cetus

Click ‘Pool’ Page to check your position so you will see ‘Remove’ option at the left.

Enter the amount that you want to remove liquidity. We provide several boundaries including 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% for users to quickly select or users can always drag the bar to adjust the right amount.
