Aptos Engage 2023 brought together hundreds of the retail industry’s top experts, executives, partners, influencers and technologists for 3.5 days of education, networking and idea sharing.
Held at one of the most luxurious resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, the Encore at the Wynn, Aptos Engage and the co-located Revionics Insight event were designed to help clients unlock another level of value from our unified commerce and price optimization solutions. As an added bonus, we all managed to have some fun, make new connections and deepen existing ones along the way.

We kicked off Aptos Engage with Product Advisory Council meetings, which offer an opportunity for current software users to gain early access to product direction and roadmaps; influence development by providing feedback on needs, features and functionality; and network with other users of the product.
There’s no better way to get an event headed in the right direction than with a party. The wall-to-wall attendance at our opening night welcome reception made it clear that attendees were ready to mingle and embrace all the conference had to offer. Big thanks to Makira for sponsoring this reception.
Day 2 of the conference started with an opening address from Aptos CEO Pete Sinisgalli. Pete shared important updates from each of our business units (Aptos, LS Retail and Revionics) and emphasized all of the ways Aptos is investing in customer success and product innovation. Pete also delivered his characteristic icebreaker jokes (think dad joke meets tech industry), which were met with plenty of laughs and a few friendly groans from the audience.
Recognized globally as a top retail industry influencer, Aptos VP of Strategy Nikki Baird did not disappoint when discussing the market and consumer trends that Aptos is tracking as we evolve our solution strategy. During this keynote presentation, Karthik Mani, Aptos chief product officer; Ian Auerbach, VP of product management; and Nikki shared deep insights into R&D investments, architecture principles and development processes that are shaping Aptos’ product organization. They also provided an update on the progress we’re making toward our vision.
Revionics, the leader in price optimization solutions for retailers, has been part of the Aptos family since 2020. During Engage, we hosted a “conference within a conference” for the Revionics community. This co-located event, Revionics Insight at Engage, included an opening address from Revionics GM Scott Zucker, above. Throughout Insight, Revionics customers got a look at the latest updates to Revionics’ pricing solutions, exclusive training opportunities, and open discussion on the trends and technologies impacting pricing professionals.
One of the most buzzed-about sessions during Engage included key members of New Balance’s Global Retail Technology Group. These dynamic retail and technology experts shared their approach to elevating their IT landscape, readying the internal organization and evolving their operating model to supercharge performance. New Balance is leveraging Aptos solutions as part of its unified commerce transformation journey.
Revionics has made significant R&D investments, resulting in advanced artificial intelligence, a next-generation platform, a new Promotions Planning and Optimization application, and reimagined workflows and collaboration tools. Revionics’ Josh Oettle, VP, product management, shared with Insight attendees how Revionics is continuously evolving its platform and solutions to accelerate innovation.
As Aptos Americas GM Jeremy Grunzweig modeled above, left, if you are going to have Doug Goehl, VP, global enterprise applications, Crocs, on the Engage stage, middle, you better be wearing Crocs (with some fun Vegas-inspired Jibbitz adorning those Crocs, of course). Jeremy and Doug were joined by Todd Steiner, right, chief information & technology officer at Finish Line/JD Sports, for a discussion on challenges, opportunities and hot takes on technology innovations in retail.
Year after year, one of our most popular experiences at Engage is Power Hour Networking, and this year was no exception. The Power Hour brought together experts from the Aptos and Revionics teams with customers and partners to share knowledge and experiences related to the topics that attendees care most about. Thanks to our partner Vertex for sponsoring this activity.
For the evening activity on Day 2, we left the Encore and traveled to Flight Club to participate in the social darts phenomenon. Appreciation goes to our Flight Club event sponsors Adyen and Toshiba for an evening of delicious food, craft cocktails and dart throwing.
Throughout the Engage event, The Hub was the central destination to socialize with experts, peers and partners. Our 15+ partners and sponsors that participated in The Hub were instrumental in making this a successful event and once again proved that with the right partners, anything is possible.
Also found in The Hub — a photo op, Vegas-style! Is it even an event these days without a carefully curated photo area? Aptos solution consultants (left to right, Liria Litano, Robin Cox, Michael Ford, Doug Baz and Sid Suss) wasted no time in showing other attendees how much fun the photo backdrop could be.
The Engage closing night customer appreciation party was held at the famed Encore Beach Club. The venue was surreal, moods were inspired and uplifted, and … well, respecting the Vegas adage “What happens in … ,” we’ll just say it was a phenomenal evening. And nobody fell in the pool!
While the event was all about our customers, it also provided plenty of colleague bonding opportunities. Pictured above, left to right, Revionics’ Matthew Jewell, JJ Thorne, Scott Zucker, Sneha Elango, Matt Pavich and Aditya Rastogi pause for a photo poolside.
